Know your MyHeritage password without it being automatically provided by the site
Be able to access your email to retrieve a message from MyHeritage
Have access to a secure computer with the ability to store and protect the data if you want an archival copy or delete the data after uploading to another drive or test site
Step 1 - Login to MyHeritage.com
Step 2 - On the header menu select DNA, then select Manage DNA kits; if you're a member of more than one family website, select which site you want to visit
If you’re a member of more than one family site, select the site you need.
Step 3 -Select the kit you want to download by selecting the three dots next to that kit at the far right side of the page
If you manage more than one kit or have kits for more than one person, be careful to select the kit you want to download and after the download, be sure to rename it in a way that will help identify it in the future.
Step 4 - A pop-up window will appear, DNA data file download, read it and select Continue
Step 5 - A pop-up window will appear Confirmation for downloading raw DNA data, select the confirmation box and then select Continue
Step 6 - A pop-up window will appear DNA data file download telling you to check your email for download instructions
Step 7 - Go to your email inbox and find an email from MyHeritage DNA
Step 8 - Open the email from MyHeritage DNA and select Continue with the download
Step 9 - A new MyHeritage browser window will open, type in your MyHeritage password (used with your login) and then select Download
Step 10 - Find the Download in your Downloads Directory and Rename the file
The downloaded file will appear at the bottom of your browser page. Go to your Downloads directory and find the file and rename it. You may want to save it somewhere other than your Downloads directory.

Step 11 - Safely archive this raw DNA data OR upload the raw DNA data to another testing site
If you want to upload this data to another DNA testing site, login to that testing site and follow their directions for uploading DNA from other test sites.
