The 1840 US Census – Census of Pensioners for Revolutionary or Military Service is a free, digitized book at Internet Archive with published names, ages, and places of residence for Revolutionary War pensioners and others, alive in 1840, who were receiving pensions for military service in the United States.

These records were taken from the 1840 US Census. In the back of the census enumerators recorded the names, ages, and residences of those receiving Revolutionary War and other service pensions. Along with the residence, enumerators included the name of the head-of-household where the pensioner was living.
