Alabama Deaths and Burials, 1881-1952 is a free collection at FamilySearch of more than 100,000 online Alabama death records. These records are searchable in a death index but the index is not complete for any place or time period.

With information from these records you may be able to:

  • Use the information found in the deaths and burials to locate funeral home, obituary or cemetery records
  • Use the information found to search other records such as birth, christening, marriage, census, land and probate records
  • Use the information to find additional family members in the records
  • Search the county records where the individual died for more information
