The Beverly Historical Society in Beverly, Essex County, Massachusetts was established in 1891. “In addition to a collection of nearly a million objects and documents related to Beverly and the North Shore of Massachusetts, the Society preserves and interprets three historic properties, the Balch House, Hale Farm, and the Cabot House, and engages the community in a variety of programs. The Society is a 501 c3 non-profit organization funded by the generosity of members and friends.”

Membership options

Research fees and research request form and their fees structure is:

  • Remote/off hours research, non-member: $25 each hour/minimum one hour

  • Remote/off hours research, member: $20 each hour/minimum one hour

“Please discuss your research needs with staff for an estimate of cost. Photocopies are available at $.25/page. Due to the delicate condition of some manuscripts, the staff reserves the right to not photocopy some material.”
