Brooks & District Branch, Alberta Genealogical Society is one of ten branches of the Alberta Genealogical Society. Membership gives you access to resources at the Alberta Genealogical Society and all branches. They will perform onsite research for a small fee.

Cemeteries – a list of the various cemeteries, active and inactive, used throughout the history of Brooks and area. You can also access a gravemarker database for most cemeteries.

 
Obituaries from 1900- present – See our list of all obituaries printed in the local papers since 1900. Each obituary is in a pdf file which you can preview on our website or download to your own computer. Obituaries are sorted by file name, which lists the surname (last name) and any given names afterward.

The Brooks & District Branch meets every 2nd Saturday of the month (except July & August) at 6 pm. They meet at the JBS Canada Centre, new Brooks Library, 323-1 St E, Brooks, AB, Canada.

 

The Alberta Genealogical Society welcomes anyone with an interest in genealogy wherever your geographic location may be. Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st. If membership is paid after September 30th, funds will be applied to the following year.

Costs ranges from $25 – $60/year
