The Canadian Genealogical Research Project is a free, online database of genealogical records and data sets throughout Canada. It’s hosted by the Alberta Family Histories Society and anyone can submit a project. They keep an inventory of family history projects underway or completed and provide links and access to those projects. It’s basically a one-stop shop for Canadian genealogy records.

Beneath the “Canadian Genealogical Research Project” logo is a small search window where you can select the province or territory and then what type of records you’re looking for and it will return all family history projects in its system that match your request.

“We help eliminate duplication of work by providing a central place where small and large genealogy projects can be listed. This Registry is a place where you can find out which extraction/transcription projects are planned, underway, or have been completed.”
