The Glenbow Museum has a Canadian Pacific Railway Land Sales Database that’s free and searchable online.
“The CPR Land Sales Catalogue contains records of sales of agricultural land by the Canadian Pacific Railway to settlers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta from 1881 to 1927. The information includes the name of purchaser, legal description of land, number of acres purchased, and cost per acre. These records are often used when applying for Century Farm status.”
