Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies is the official archive for the county of Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom. They also hold collections for areas of the county that are now in Berkshire and Milton Keynes.

  • Around 35,000 wills proved by the Archdeaconry of Buckingham
  • County and District Councils
  • Quarter and Petty Session courts
  • Landed estates of families including the Aubrey-Fletchers, Hampdens, Carringtons and Fremantles
  • Historic maps including OS, tithe and inclosure maps
  • A wide range of local history books
  • Pamphlets and articles of local history interest
  • Local newspapers

 
“Copies can be provided of many records. A day pass for the use of a digital camera and digital copies from our microfilm readers and book scanner is charged at £5. A USB drive is required for digital copies from the microfilms or from the book scanner.”

Tuesday-Thursday 9:00-5:15; 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month 9:00-3:45
