Connecticut Probate Estate Records pre-1850 is a collection of probate records held by the Connecticut State Library. These records are not available for free, online, but are available for free at LDS Family History Centers on microfilm or by subscription at Ancestry.com.

“The Connecticut State Library holds most pre-1850 probate estate papers and, for much of the state, papers dated into the 1900s. Most have been indexed in the Library’s Probate Estate Papers Index. The index cards are arranged alphabetically by individual’s last name and first names. The cards have the individual’s name, town of residence, probate district, and list of items contained in the estate packet.”

“Most of the estate papers have been microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah and are available for use through a Latter-day Saint Family History Center.”
