    • The Dutchess County clerk now hosts free online searching of legal papers from the Dutchess County Court of Common Pleas and General Sessions which began in 1721. These New York Court Records from 1721 are part of a 12,000 page online offering. “… documents from the county’s earliest court records are now catalogued, digitized, and readily accessible for viewing. The project is a joint effort of the Offices of the Historian and the County Clerk.” Records can be searched by name, keyword, record type, offense, location, and year.
