The Federation of Family History Societies is one of several groups in the UK to which genealogical societies align themselves. “The Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) is an educational charity formed in 1974. Our membership has grown to over 180 societies throughout the world, including national and local societies as well as one-name groups….The Federation attends a variety of events around the country. We use these opportunities to stimulate interest in family history and encourage new members to join family history societies. For a listing of events (not just those at which FFHS will be present), visit GENEVA (GENealogical EVents and Activities).”
