  1. I am very interested in finding the family of Charles Burns, supposedly born about 1720 in Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Scotland. Charles died 3 April, 1789 in Henry County, Virginia U.SA. Charles is my direct ancestor, fifth grandfather.

There have been many reports that his father was George Charles Burns/Burness, born 1680 in Lanarkshire, and death also in Lanarkshire in 1755.

I find no records of this George Charles Burns, and was hoping that you would be able to find the family of my direct ancestor, Charles Burns.

  2. I am sincerely hoping that you or your organization could notify my of the cost to search for family in Scotland, or possibly Ireland. I have found no passenger list of when Charles immigrated from Scotland/Ireland to the United States.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
