Historical Marysville Public Library – Through the efforts of the Women’s Parliament and the Marysville Schools, a grant from the Andrew Carnegie Library Foundation was secured and on July 5, 1909, the cornerstone of Marysville’s new Carnegie Public Library was laid. This collection contains contents of that cornerstone.

Neuendettelsau – German Settlement in Union County – The German Settlement is a close knit community with it’s heart centered around St. John’s Lutheran Church. German immigrants settled in Union County around the 1830s. They were primarily from the regions of Bavaria and Hesse-Darmstadt. St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church was organized in 1838 and the congregation was called Neudettelsau. Today, St. John’s is still very active.
