The Michigan Genealogical Council is an organization that works to promote “statewide interest” in Michigan genealogy resources and research.

They “work with other organizations or agencies involved in promoting improvements in genealogical facilities and holdings of Michigan archives, libraries, museums and record repositories.”

The Michigan Genealogical Council lists genealogical and family history societies in Michigan as well as genealogy events throughout Michigan.
