Mobile County Archives

These are onsite collections-not digital collections.

In 1989 the Archives Section was created after the Court’s colonial and historic records were found in the attic of the Mobile County Courthouse. Within these documents French and Spanish Colonial records were discovered. The Historic Record index designates those records “found” in book form. The Archival File index designates those records “found” as loose records or housed in record keeping envelopes.
