The Moultonborough Historical Society preserves and shares the history and character of the Town of Moultonborough, New Hampshire.
The Moultonborough Historical Society’s on-going project is the Lamprey Museum. This is the result of meticulous, concentrated attention to detail from a dedicated group of historic-minded individuals along with generous monetary contributions. Many people are not aware of the treasure they are driving by every day on Route 25. Meetings are open to the public and generally held on the third Monday of each month. (A more detailed schedule follows.) There is a speaker chosen for each month who typically presents a program of considerable interest to all. We hope that you will find this site informative and entertaining and invite you to attend any of our monthly meetings. You are, as well, encouraged to join the membership at any time. Any input is welcome, whether you have old photographs, documents or artifacts which are pertinent to the history of this town, other close towns or the State of New Hampshire. Please feel free to contact us. We love to share stories. Please join us even if it is to come to one of our programs and intermix with others.
