The National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW) has an online database, Coflein, which is an index to archaeological sites, monuments, and buildings in Wales. They also have a great historic mapping feature where you find a location in Wales and then select a historic view to see what it looked like in the past.

There are over 1.25 million photographs, 70,000 plans and drawings and 50,000 historic maps in the collections in addition to thousands of surveys and reports.
