CanadaGenWeb has a free collection of New Brunswick Bonds for Mid-1800s (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cannb/NB_Land_Bonds.htm). These bonds were “taken as security for balances of purchase money on lots of land granted between the years 1832 and 1837”.
