The New Mexico Genealogical Society (NMGS) is a membership society for family history and genealogy research. They have published journals since 1960 with records, names, and surnames of New Mexico residents.

  • Journal Indexes, free to search – if you find an ancestor’s name in an index you can purchase a CD with the journals or purchase a copy of the specific journal

Membership in the New Mexico Genealogical Society is $35 for a one-year membership. Visit their membership site for an application.

  • Membership year begins January 1 and ends December 31.

  • When you join NMGS, we put your name and email on our mailing list to make it easy for us to send out the bi-monthly newsletters, and maybe a flyer about an upcoming conference, etc.
