“Norseland Lutheran Church, located in Nicollet County, Minnesota, was organized in 1858. The first resident pastor served Norwegian Lutherans in an area of 16 counties in Minnesota. Images contributed to Minnesota Reflections include photographs of Reverend Thomas Johnsen and the congregation which he served at Norseland along with the Herbjorn Gausta altar painting.”
