The Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) was founded in 1961 and is the largest family history association in Ontario, Canada. They have a robust website with helpful resources for members and non-members alike. Free and fee Canadian genealogy resources include:

  • Unregistered Cemeteries (a list of unregistered cemeteries by County/District)

  • The Ontario Name Index (TONI) (Shows where information about a name can be found-over 3,125,927 records!)
  • OGS Provincial Index (OGSPI)
  • Ontario Records and Resources (Links to other sources for Canadian family history research records)
  • Ontario Locator (GPS and County/Branch for every municipality in Ontario)

 
The OGS hosts an annual genealogy conference and has a quarterly publication, Families.
