This is a list of Rhode Island Historical & Genealogical Societies.

 

The Rhode Island Historical Records Advisory Board lists some of the holdings at Rhode Island Societies, including birth, marriage, and death records, cemetery records, maps, land records, genealogies, local histories, employment records, newspapers, yearbooks, and more. Some of these societies have physical buildings that house their collections, others meet at local Rhode Island libraries where collections are stored. Joining a society usually gives you access to more records and often includes a newsletter or publication and it helps the society cover the costs of acquiring and storing material.
