“Soudan Underground Mine State Park is a former iron ore mine located on the Vermilion Iron Range in Soudan, Minnesota. In 1962 the mine was turned over to the State of Minnesota and it opened as a State Park in 1965. We strive to preserve the history of the mine and the area. We offer tours of the underground mine and we have exhibits dedicated to the history of the area. Our collection consists of maps of the various underground levels and photos of miners and mining life.”
