The Family Locket is a family history site and genealogy blog authored by a mother/daughter team, both former schoolteachers and both LDS Family History Consultants.

They offer tips for genealogy research, especially using FamilySearch and its partner sites, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and FindMyPast. They also share ideas for involving children and youth in family history, family reunion ideas, and resources useful for your genealogy research.

  1. I recently read one of your missives regarding Pennsylvania Germans. In this particular example you gave a method for finding ancestors emigration paths from Germany. Your example cited a Fisher who sailed on a ship named “Isaac”. My 5th Great Grandfather, Jurge Fisher sailed on that ship as well, along with his wife Catherina. Are we in the same FAN club?

    1. Frank,

Thanks for using the OnGenealogy directory to find family history resources. You’ll need to contact The Family Locket directly through their contact form: or Nicole Dyer at to receive a response from them. This site only lists them as a resource.

      Best with your family history,
